Access note / 06
Accessible controls make a Chicago landscaping inquiry easier to send.
Chicago Premier Landscaping builds this site so a visitor can inspect landscaping and lawn-care services, reach the inquiry form, and contact the business without relying on a mouse, animation, or one particular device.

01Use the site for the task in front of you
Most visitors arrive looking for Chicago landscaping, Chicago lawn care, or landscape maintenance near me. The main route is short: read the service scope, decide what needs looking at, then use the inquiry route. The pages do not require an account, a purchase, a payment, or a visual tool.
On a desktop keyboard, the skip link appears when it receives focus and moves you to the main content. The header includes a telephone link and ordinary text links. The footer repeats the legal pages, including Privacy, Cookies and consent, Terms of use, and Data request.
02Keyboard access is part of the normal route
Links, buttons, disclosure controls, form fields, the support chat, and the cookie controls can be reached with the Tab key. Shift plus Tab moves backwards. Enter activates a link or button. Space activates a button and toggles a checkbox or disclosure where the browser supports that behavior.
The primary navigation can be opened with its button at narrower widths. It is not a hover-only menu. The service tabs on the home page have a no-script anchor route as well. With scripting enabled, arrow keys move through the tab list, Home moves to the first tab, and End moves to the last. Selecting a tab does not force focus into a new panel.
Use the browser's normal heading or landmark shortcuts to move through the page. Headings are written as content headings rather than decorative labels. A page has one main heading followed by ordered subheadings, so a screen reader's heading list remains useful on a phone or large monitor.
03Focus stays visible and the order stays practical
Keyboard focus is shown with a high-contrast outline. It is not removed to make the layout look cleaner. The focus order follows the visual reading order: skip link, site header, navigation, page content, footer, consent tools, and support chat. A panel that opens does not place an invisible layer over the rest of the page.
At 320px wide, labels wrap inside their own controls and long email addresses break rather than pushing the page sideways. The layout uses fluid type and stacked sections below the tablet breakpoint. Zooming the page should not make a visitor lose the telephone link, legal row, or inquiry actions.
Some browser extensions alter focus rings, colours, or reading order. If an extension creates a barrier, try the page in a current browser without it before reporting the issue. We still want to hear about a conflict that affects the normal page.
04Contrast supports reading in bright outdoor conditions
Body copy uses a dark ink on a white reading surface. Secondary copy is kept on pale or white surfaces rather than placed over an image. The carbon header and footer use light text. Orange is reserved for a signal, rule, focus treatment, or action and is not used as the only way to communicate a required state.
Photography has meaningful alternative text where it carries information. Decorative interface glyphs are hidden from assistive technology and do not replace their adjacent words. The service names, contact labels, consent actions, and support chat controls remain readable when images fail to load.
A photograph may include uneven natural contrast, so captions use a solid dark band rather than relying on text directly over foliage. This is a design decision, not a claim that every browser rendering or user stylesheet will look identical.
05Reduced motion turns movement into a static document
The running service specification is a visual treatment, not the only copy of a service name. Its pause control is labelled and keyboard reachable. The scope sequence on the home page shows the four stated stages as text as well as a line diagram: discuss the property, review conditions, agree the scope, and arrange the work.
With the operating system's reduced-motion preference enabled, the ticker stops, the scope line is fully drawn, and the step markers remain static. The page does not rely on a transition to reveal an answer. With motion enabled, small interface responses use spring-timed Web Animations API behavior and are not required to understand the content.
If animation causes discomfort even when reduced motion is selected, use the ticker pause control and your browser's page settings, then report the specific control and device. A static phone call remains available at 464-768-0506.
06Forms explain what is needed before you send
The inquiry form asks for a name and consent. A phone number and email address are both optional fields, but one contact route is needed so the business can reply. The labels say optional where appropriate. Address and project notes help scope Chicago property care, but they are not globally required.
When a field is invalid, the form keeps the entries, identifies the field, and places an error message beside it. A failed submission is not presented as a booking or a confirmed appointment. If the server returns an inquiry reference, that reference means the inquiry was stored; it does not promise a visit time.
Phone validation is not stricter than the service requires. An email is checked only when one is supplied. If you cannot use the form, send the same basic request by email to [email protected] or call. Do not send identity documents through the ordinary inquiry route.
07Images, landmarks, and language carry their own meaning
Images on the public site show the subjects of the service, such as a planted bed, a paved transition, or a narrow garden access route. They are not presented as a substitute for a site inspection or as verified customer project records. Alternative text describes the visible subject without pretending to identify a property.
The page uses native HTML landmarks, lists, headings, forms, tables where appropriate, and disclosure elements. The logo has a text alternative. Sprite icons beside words are decorative. The site does not use an embedded map, an autoplay video, or a visual calculator that would hide the inquiry route from a non-visual user.
Language is English throughout. Trade terms such as lawn maintenance Chicago, mulch installation Chicago, and hardscaping Chicago appear in the service information because they describe the work, not because a visitor is expected to decode a slogan.
08Known limits are stated rather than covered over
This page describes the intended behavior of the public site. It is not a certification, an audit report, or a claim of perfect conformance with every accessibility standard. Browser, assistive-technology, operating-system, zoom, and extension combinations are too varied to promise that every visitor will experience identical behavior.
The support chat depends on a network connection and may be unavailable. Its polling stops when the panel is closed. A visitor who cannot use the chat can use the telephone or email route. Consent settings may look different if a browser blocks storage; declining must still leave the rest of the site available.
Some third-party destinations linked from the legal information have their own interfaces and accessibility policies. The Microsoft privacy statement, Google privacy resources, and Meta privacy resources are external pages. The business does not claim that another platform has reviewed or approved this website.
09Report an access barrier with enough detail to act
Tell us what you were trying to do, the page address, the control or text that blocked you, and what device, browser, keyboard, screen reader, zoom level, or other assistive technology you used. A short description is enough. If you prefer not to name your technology, say what happened instead.
Send a report to [email protected] or call 464-768-0506. You may also use the data request page for personal-data requests, but an access barrier should be reported directly so it is not confused with a deletion or consent request.
Please do not include passwords, payment details, identity documents, or another person's private information in a barrier report. We will use the description to understand the failure and identify a reasonable alternative route. We do not publish a promised response time.
